La Graciosa

La Graciosa.

La Graciosa is beautiful unspoilt island where you can really relax and get away from it all. There are no made up roads on the island and only a handful of four wheel drive vehicles. You can hire mountain bikes from various locations around the marina to explore the island. There are several restaurants and shops to stock up on basic provisioning.

The golden sand beaches are never busy and its easy to see why people end up staying on Graciosa for longer than planned. The beach of Playa de las Conchas stretches over many kilometres and is regarded as one of the most picturesque of all Canarian beaches

The uninhabited island of Alegranza is approximately 12 miles from the marina at Graciosa and provides an ideal stop for a day anchorage. A unique feature of Alegranza is a cave of around 60 mtrs deep that has a small beach at the back which was formed when a volcanic bubble collapsed. The cave can only be entered by dinghy in settled conditions.

Puerto Caleta Sebo – is the marina of Graciosa. It is a very welcoming marina but can get busy during the summer to autumn season and a request to berth should be sent by fax in these months (we can do this on your behalf). The marina is located in the town and has a very sheltered beach within which is ideal for children.

Playa Francesa – the most popular anchorage has a fantastic golden sandy beach with crystal clear water where you can swim ashore to fully appreciate the natural beauty of this island and have views of the cliffs of Lanzarote.

Playa Montana Amarilla – takes its name from the yellow volcanic mountain which forms its backdrop. A small sandy beach is in this bay where you can land the dinghy and explore the yellow mountain and surrounding beaches.

Pedro Barba – a good place to anchor and take the dinghy ashore where you will find a small hamlet of unique houses situated behind a small beach.

Other popular anchorages can be found at Bahia del Salado, Bahia del Cocina and Playa del Conejo.
